On the morning of May 20, 1927, a twenty-five-year-old airmail pilot named Charles A. Lindbergh lifted a small silver monoplane off the grass at Roosevelt Field on Long Island and pointed its nose toward Paris. Thirty-three and a half hours later — after flying blind through fog, fending off sleep for a night and a day, and navigating 3,600 miles of open ocean by dead reckoning alone — he set the Spirit of St. Louis down at Le Bourget Field before a crowd of 150,000. He became an instant world icon, and in a single flight opened the door to the age of modern commercial aviation.
One hundred years is a long time to wait for anything. But some journeys are worth taking again. In May 2027, a small group of travellers will retrace that legendary route across an ocean and a century — with our private charter jet starting in St. Louis, flying to Washington, D.C., then to New York, and finally across the Atlantic to Paris, landing at Le Bourget 100 years to the day after his arrival there.
Undertaken in association with the Lindbergh Foundation, this is a journey that can happen only once — and places are strictly limited.
