As we approach the 100th Anniversary of Charles Lindbergh’s historic Spirit of St. Louis transatlantic flight from New York to Paris, The Lindbergh Foundation is focused on the biggest challenge of our time – Decarbonizing Aviation.

The Lindbergh Foundation acknowledges and denounces the controversial pre-World War II statements of Charles A. Lindbergh. The Foundation does not support anti-Semitism, bigotry or hatred in any manner.

The Lindbergh Foundation is dedicated to balancing civilization’s needs and protecting our natural environment. We seek to inspire and accelerate innovators creating solutions to environmental problems.

The Foundation was created in 1977 by Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, Jimmy Doolittle, esteemed military general and aviation pioneer, and others at the Explorers Club in New York.

The Lindbergh Foundation is a public 501(c)(3) not-for profit foundation.
